I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
