The former Brazilian president detained after being considered a flight risk
The former Brazilian leader has been taken into custody after authorities concluded he posed a concrete flight risk while under domestic detention.
The former head of state was found guilty of planning a armed takeover in last fall and given more than over two decades in jail, but he remained under house arrest pending court reviews.
High Court Judge Justice Moraes said the move to detain the 70-year-old politician was a safety action after fresh information were revealed.

The conspiracy was prevented because it couldn't obtain the support of the military leaders. The current president was took office without problem on the first day of 2023.
